DRESS CODE POLICIES

Footwear: Proper footwear MUST be worn in class. If you do not have proper footwear you will have to sit and watch class. Hard shoes are not required until a dancer reaches advanced beginner. There are links to sites where you can buy the proper shoes on our “friends of” page, and you can click on the link below:

http://irishdancelasvegas.com/our-friends:

We also have a dance mum in charge of our discounted used shoes and that can also be an option should we have shoes in your dancer’s size.

Exception: New beginners are able to wear ballet shoes, socks that stay on their feet when active, or non clunky tennis shoes for the first couple of months but are expected to have appropriate Irish dance socks and pumps or black ballet shoes to wear by the start of their third month of class

Attire: Proper clothing MUST be worn to all classes. New dancers may wear T shirts in our school colors (black, white, grey/silver, royal blue) with black shorts of a modest length or leggings to their first month of classes but are expected to wear our school shirts after the first uniform order.

Other important info: Dancers should have their hair tied back out of their face and should bring their own water bottle to every class. ‚ÄčIf a dancer has an injury or a weakness because of an injury, or for any reason, wear protective braces to class.

SCHOOL POLICIES

Inclement weather: We don’t often have weather that makes it scary or difficult to come to class, but when we do, go with your gut. If you feel uncomfortable driving in heavier rain or high winds with your children, please contact the school and schedule a makeup. We’d rather have you be safe.

Missed and Makeup Lessons: If you are going to miss a class and you know in advance, please email or text the school. You will not receive a refund for a missed class; however you may make up the class with the approval of your instructor. If you miss due to prolonged illness, severe injury or personal emergency your billing will be adjusted accordingly. Written documentation may be required and any change in billing will begin the day the school is notified.

Stoppage of Classes with Scoil Rince Ni Riada: We require 30 days written notice or tuition is still due for the following month whether or not the student attends class.

Registration Procedures: All parents/legal guardians and adult students must read and sign a completed Registration Form containing consent and release clause. This must be on file with Scoil Rince Ni Riada before participation will be granted. A $35 registration fee per dancers or a $50 family fee is also required once a year (in September, or when the student registers).

Payment of Fees: The tuition for the upcoming month is due within the last ten days of each month prior. Late fees begin on the 1st. Any student who is more than 30 days past due may not be allowed to participate in class until the amount is brought up to date (unless arrangements have been made with the school). Tuition should be made payable to Scoil Rince Ni Riada or SRNR. A late fee will be assessed of $35 for all payments that arrive after the 1st of the month.

Conduct Expectations: Students and parents will dress and conduct themselves in an appropriate manner while representing Scoil Rince Ni Riada Irish Dance: Las Vegas in any capacity (at class, performances, community engagements, etc.) The use of foul language and disrespect for others will not be tolerated. Any student who fails to meet these standards will be asked to leave Scoil Rince Ni Riada.

Parental Responsibilities: It is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to be aware of special dates and schedules of any upcoming events. The school will make every effort to communicate information through the SLACK app,  handouts at class, parent emails, and e-newsletters.. It is the parent’s responsibility to regularly check their child’s dance bag and their own email to make sure they are up to date on SRNR events and info.

Care of Students: Scoil Rince Ni Riada is not responsible for providing before or after class care for students. Dancers should not be left at the the studio unattended for excessive time before or after their class.

Respect for the Studio Space: Scoil Rince Ni Riada Irish Dancers are lucky enough to rent space from local businesses including the Las Vegas Sportspark and Grace Valley Church. We ask that you show respect to our instructors, students and families as well as the studio itself, and the rest of the building. Please, pick up after yourself and be kind to those around you!
