Beginner
Dancers in this class are new to Irish dance! They will learn how to identify and count music, the very building blocks of Irish dance and they will put those together to form their first steps. Irish dance is composed of steps that are done on the right and then repeated on the left. They will learn their first 3/4 dances in this level before they can move up.
Dancers move at their own pace and should not compare their learning style or speed of pickup to anyone else. We move dancers up at the end of the year if they are ready. Many dancers need more time, and a few dancers need less. We want to make sure the dancer is going up into the next level strong and ready to handle it with a good foundation and understanding of the basics.
